Privacy Policy
The important part: the standard compressor processes video files inside your browser. Video content is not uploaded to or stored by VideoShrink.
Video processing
The file you choose is read by browser code on your device and passed to a local encoding engine. We do not provide a video upload API for this workflow. Generated downloads use temporary browser Blob URLs and disappear when the page is closed or reset.
Site analytics
The product emits coarse, anonymous workflow events such as file selected, compression started, completed, failed and download clicked. These events may include broad file-size and duration buckets, browser category and mobile status. They must not include filenames, video content, exact media metadata or personal information. No analytics provider receives these events unless one is explicitly connected.
Technical delivery
Hosting infrastructure may process normal request information such as IP address, browser headers and requested pages to deliver and protect the website. That traffic is separate from your local video content.
Future cloud features
Cloud compression is not part of the current product. If introduced, it will be clearly distinguished from local processing and this policy will explain retention, storage and deletion before the feature is enabled.
